About B1A4

B1A4 is a 5-member male group founded by WM Entertainment. The group consists of Baro, CNU, Gongchan, Jinyoung and Sandeul. They were first introduced through a web-comic.

Their group name represents their blood types. Baro has B blood type while the others have A blood type. B1A4 is also an abbreviation of ‘Be The One, All For One’.

They debuted on the 21st of April with the track ‘O.K’ from their album ‘Let’s Fly’. They made their live debut on the 23rd of April on MBC Music Core. Their first radio guesting was on the 3rd of May at PKL’s Starry Night radio.

They followed up ‘OK’ with a ballad song from their album, ‘Only Learned the Bad Things’.  The MV for this song aired during the reality show they are in, called ‘Match Up’. In ‘Match Up’ B1A4 goes against another recently debuted group, Block B, in competitions.

On the 31st of July, Jinyoung made a post on B1A4’s fancafe announcing the fandom  name, ‘BANA’ (바나). BA represents B1A4 while NA represents the fans. When put together, it means ‘we have fallen for each other’ (반하다).

On the 30th of August, B1A4’s fanclub representative made a post on B1A4’s fancafe announcing that they will be having their comeback on the September. After that, the album name, ‘it B1A4’ and teaser photos of each member were revealed on the site. The album was released on the 16th of September and they made their comeback stage on KBS Music Bank on the same day with “Beautiful Target”.They followed up “Beautiful Target” with the song “My Love”.

They signed a contract with PonyCanyon in October and it was announced that they will be releasing their Japanese album in January 2012. They will kick start their Japanese promotions/activities by having a showcase at the Shinagawa Stellar Ball in Tokyo on the 9th of December after wrapping up their promotions for their second mini album.
